Under this scheme, 40 district drug stores have been set up at the district headquarters to distribute medicines which consist of 713 types of medicines, 181 surgical and 77 sutures in all medical institutions. The Rajasthan Medical Services Corporation has been instituted as the prinicipal organization for the purchase of medicines, surgical and sutures for the Medical Department and Medical Education Department. Furthermore, medicine distribution centres for outdoor patients will be ensured according to OPD timings, 24-hour availability of medicines for indoor and emergency patients will also be ensured.
