Bhanwar Singh Bhati, the Energy Minister for Rajasthan, said on March 24, 2022, that the Chief Minister Kisan Mitra Urja Yojana was being implemented throughout the state with the help of which farmers receive a monthly electricity bill reimbursement of Rs 1,000. Through this scheme, 6 lakh farmers have already benefitted. Along with this, he informed that domestic electricity users who use up to 100 units of electricity this year will be eligible for up to 50 free units of electricity. In addition, all domestic users will get a subsidy of 3 per unit on consumption up to 150 units and 2 per unit on consumption between 150 and 300 units. The monthly amount of this extra stipend will be Rs 1,000. The maximum extra grant will be Rs 12,000 over the course of a year. • Only general category rural meters and flat rate category agricultural consumers will receive this additional grant amount, and if there is no past due balance at the time of bill issued in the current billing month, the grant amount in the electricity bill will be adjusted in accordance with this circular.
• The public will be encouraged to pay their electricity bills on time.
• The balance amount will be adjusted in the last month of the same fiscal year if the consumer’s recharge amount in any given fiscal year is less than Rs 1,000.
• If a new connection is made available in the middle of the year, the yearly subsidy limit will then be paid out correspondingly.
• The Finance Department will be given information each month on the total number of recipient farmers and the amount of the grant awarded to them.
• Vidyut Vitran Nigam will have to give information to the Finance Department, including the additional grant amount to be granted under this plan and the proposal for the following fiscal year. The BFC meeting is where this information must be delivered so that the Finance Department can guarantee the grant amount’s supply.
• In order to receive additional grant money, the beneficiary must link his Aadhaar and bank account numbers to his electricity account number.
• If the beneficiary misuses or steals electricity, or if electricity is stolen and damages corporation property, the grant money will be given to the beneficiary in the following billing month after his acquittal or after depositing the full charged amount.

Mukhyamantri Kisan Mitra Urja Yojana launched
