On June 20, 2022, Union Minister, Hardeep Singh Puri launched the E Shram Card Nipun Yojana for youth employed in the construction industry. 1 lakh construction workers from throughout the nation will receive training in plumbing and infrastructure as part of this programme. Their abilities will be improved, and this training will open doors to jobs. In addition to that, this programme will give young employees the chance to work overseas. 80000 construction workers have been taught under this programme, and now 14000 recipients will receive training through the National Skill Qualification.

The objective of E Shram Card Nipun Yojana

To teach more than 1 lakh people involved in the construction industry in a variety of sectors, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) launched the E Shram Card Nipun Yojana so that their future and their talents may both be enhanced. Construction employees will be able to adapt to changing times and complete their tasks more quickly by receiving training through this programme. Eligibility under E – Labor Card Nipun Yojana

For Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) / Upskilling

Any applicant of Indian nationality should

• be between 18 and 45 years of age.
• Have prior experience in the job role for which RPL certification is desired, and as directed by the Sector Skill Council for those job roles.
• Having a bank account is linked with an Aadhaar card.
• Meets other criteria related to work experience as defined by Sector Skill Counseling for the relevant job roles.

For fresh skilling 

Any applicant of Indian nationality should

• be between 15 and 45 years of age.
• Have a bank account linked with an Aadhaar card.
• Meets other criteria for the relevant job role as defined by the awarding body
• Interested in making a career in the construction sector.
