Janani Suraksha Yojana 2023
The Janani Suraksha Yojana was launched by Shri Narendra Modi, our country’s Prime Minister. The government would give financial help to pregnant women across the country through this scheme. The condition of pregnant women and newborn babies in the nation will improve because of this scheme. The government has divided pregnant women into two groups under the Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) based on which the government will grant them financial help. The following are these categories:-
Pregnant women of rural areas:- All pregnant women who live below the poverty line at the time of delivery will get financial help from the government in the amount of Rs 1400 under the Janani Suraksha Yojana. ASHA associates will also receive Rs 300 for delivery incentives and Rs 300 for post-delivery services, in addition to other compensation.
Pregnant women of urban areas:- Every pregnant woman will get financial support under this scheme at the time of delivery in the amount of Rs 1,000. In addition, the ASHA employee will get Rs 200 for the delivery incentive and Rs 200 for the post-delivery service.
Objective of Janani Suraksha Yojana 2023
As you are aware, pregnant women who live below the poverty line are unable to take care of their physical and financial requirements. It is still exceedingly difficult to find medical facilities in rural areas. The Central Government launched this scheme in response to these issues. This Suraksha Yojana would provide financial aid and medical services to pregnant women. The government will lower the rate of pregnancy-related deaths with this scheme, as well as the rate of infant deaths. With this, poor women may also have a safe birth in a hospital, allowing the infant to be safe and protected from emergencies. Click here to read Digital Police Portal
