What is Kalibai Bheel Medhavi Chhatra Scooty Yojana 2023? 

The full name of Rajasthan Kalibai Scooty Scheme is Rajasthan Kali Bai Bhil Medhavi Chhatra Yojana. Under the scheme, the government will give scooty to the girl students who are good in studies. Scheduled caste, scheduled tribe and minority category girl students who are permanent residents of the Rajasthan state will be eligible to get the scooty. Under the scheme, scooties will be distributed to more than 10,000 students every year by the government. Under the scheme, the government will select a certain number of girl students in every district and will distribute scooties only in a certain amount.   Girl students studying in government schools will also be eligible for the scheme and girl students studying in private schools will also be eligible.

As we all know that the families of scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and minority communities in the country have a poor economic condition. In such a situation, the promising girl students of these families who have a desire to study, do not have proper means available for them to go for studies. As a result, sometimes, they cannot reach school or college on time and many of them has to leave their studies due to which their studies suffer. But now when the government will give free scooty under the scheme, it will be very easy for the girl students to go to the educational institution, due to which they will also be interested in studies. As a result, the literacy rate of girls will increase rapidly in the state of Rajasthan and at the same time the campaign of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao will also come true.

• Under the scheme, scooty will be given to the girl students by the present Chief Minister of Rajasthan.
• Under the scheme, only girl students belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Minorities will get the scooty.
• Every year more than 10000 girl students will be benefited through the scheme and only a certain amount of scooties will be distributed in every district.
• Girls will be encouraged to get education from Kalibai Scooty Scheme.
• Under the scheme, girl students studying in both government and private schools will get the benefit.
• Under the scheme, the selection of girl students will be done on the basis of merit, as well as financially weak girl students will be given Rs40000 directly in their bank account instead of scooty.

Eligibility for Kalibai Bheel Medhavi Chhatra Scooty Yojana

The student should be girl and a permanent resident of Rajasthan.

• The annual income of the student’s family should not exceed Rs 250000 
• The parents of the student should not be income tax payers.
• Girl students should atleast secure 60% marks studying in Rajasthan Education Board and 75% marks for studying in CBSE board.
• Under the scheme, it is necessary for the beneficiary to take admission in the graduation program after passing 12th class.
• If there is a slight gap between passing 12th class and taking admission in graduation, then the student will not get the benefit of the scheme.
• SC, ST, OBC, other minority groups and girls belonging to economically weaker sections are eligible for this scheme. The girl child who has got the benefit of any other scooty scheme will not get the benefit of this scheme. However, if the girl child has previously obtained a scooty from the TA department or the school department on the basis of marks scored in class X, then she will be eligible for financial assistance of Rs 40,000 on the basis of marks obtained in class XII.
