Conversion Of Kerala Ration Card Into Smart Cards
The Kerala government will turn ration cards into Smart Cards. These ration cards can also be used as a means of identifying a person. On November 1st, the first phase of this ration card’s distribution will start. The owner’s photo, barcode, and QR code will be shown on the front of the ration card, while the card’s other side will contain information on the owner’s monthly income, the number of ration stores, and whether or not the home has an electric or LPG gas connection, among other things. For the service of turning a ration card into a smart card, citizens must pay Rs 25. The service charge will not apply to the priority category. All cardholders may immediately apply for this card at the taluk supply office or online via the civil supplies department’s website. The application will be forwarded to the applicant’s login page if the card is approved by a taluk supply officer or city ration officer.
Installation Of QR Code Machine At Ration Shops
A smart card can also be used by downloading a PDF of it. The phone numbers for taluk supply officers, ration inspectors, and TSO officers will also be listed on this card. The ration card, introduced by the former minister of food and civil supplies, was modified into this smart card. Along with the ePOS system, the government will also install a QR code reader at the ration stores. The owner’s details will appear on the screen when the QR code has been read.
