The Women and Child Development Department will oversee the overall operation of the Maharashtra Kishori Shakti Yojana through Anganwadi centers.
At Anganwadi facilities where their health cards will be created, the health of the benefited teenage girls will be examined every three months. This card will contain a record of their height, weight, body mass, and other statistics.
The state government would release Rs 3.8 lakh crore yearly under this scheme. This will be used to provide services such as nourishment at a rate of Rs 5 per day in Anganwadi centers and life skill education, health education, information education, and communication.
The major goal of this scheme is to provide BPL cardholder households in the state with physically and intellectually sound teenage girls between the ages of 11 and 18.
Benefits, facilities, and features of Maharashtra Kishori Shakti Yojana
Through this scheme, girls from BPL households who have dropped out of school or college between the ages of 11 and 18 will gain the independence and confidence they need to meet the obstacles of education, health, hygiene, and daily living.
As part of the Maharashtra Kishori Shakti Yojana, 18 teenage girls would be chosen from each gram panchayat in the state and trained by ANMs, Anganwadi workers, and departmental supervisors.
Each teenage girl chosen for this scheme would get an annual payment of Rs 1 lakh from the state government.
Adolescent girls would receive specialized instruction on a healthy diet and personal cleanliness via initiatives like Kishori Melo and Kishori Arogya Shivers, which will be organized at the Anganwadi level by the Women and Child Development Department of Maharashtra.
For 300 days in a year, girls will receive 600 calories, 18 to 20 grams of protein, and other nutrients to support their physical growth.
The adolescent girls selected will have access to both official and informal schooling.
Adolescent girls will also receive instruction in household management, healthy eating and cooking techniques, personal cleanliness, and menstrual care.
Adolescent girls will learn mental techniques to increase self-esteem, self-knowledge, self-confidence, and self-building capacity through the Maharashtra Kishori Shakti Yojana.
Eligible girls who dropped out of school between the ages of 16 and 18 will be trained for entrepreneurship and self-employment.
