On 20 April 2023, the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Bhupesh Baghel has launched a scheme called Mukhyamantri Chhattisgarhi Parv Samman Nidhi Yojana 2023 with the aim of preserving and promoting the Teej festivals (local festivals), culture and tradition in the rural areas of the state. The scheme is launched for the non-scheduled areas of the state. Under this scheme, the government will provide Rs 10,000 in each gram panchayats in two instalments to celebrate the local festivals. The scheme has been started on the lines of Mukhyamantri Adivasi Parab Samman Nidhi Yojana.

Objective of Mukhyamantri Chhattisgarhi Parv Samman Nidhi Yojana
The Chhattisgarh government launched this Mukhyamantri Chhattisgarhi Parv Samman Nidhi Yojana 2023 with the main objective of preserving and promoting the Teen festivals (local festivals), culture and traditions of the non-scheduled rural areas of the state. As a result of this, the festivals will be preserved in their original form for the future generations and the cultural activities will be maintained too.
Amount to be given to the Gram Panchayat
Under the Mukhyamantri Chhattisgarhi Parv Samman Nidhi Yojana, Rs 10,000 will be given to each gram pamchayats in the non-scheduled rural areas of the state. This amount will be given in two instalments.
First Instalment Amount for Mukhyamantri Chhattisgarhi Parv Samman Nidhi Yojana
The Chief Minister has released a total of Rs 3,05,55,000 to all 6 thousand 111-gram panchayats as the first instalment of the scheme. As such, every gram panchayat will get Rs 5000 each.
The governing body committee of the CM Chhattisgarhi Parv Samman Nidhi Yojana
- A gram panchayat-level governing body committee will be formed for the implementation of the scheme.
- The governing body will include – Sarpanch, priest, baiga member, 2 elderly members of the village, two women of the village, village kotwar, patel member and village secretary.
