During the budget session 2023-24 for the Himachal Pradesh, the Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced to launch a state government scheme named Mukhyamantri Vidhwa Evam Ekal Nari Awas Yojana on 12 April 2023. Under this scheme, a sum of Rs 1.5 lakh will be provided as financial assistance to all the eligible widows and single women of the state for the construction of houses. More than 7000 women of the state will get the benefits of the scheme. The Women and Child Development Department of the HP government will take the responsibilities to finalize the modalities of the Chief Minister Vidhwa Evam Ekal Nari Awas Yojana 2023.
