On the occasion of Chhattisgarh Gaurav Diwas on the celebration of completion of 4 years of government in Chhattisgarh, the Chief Minister Bhupesh Bhagel has announced the launch of Mukhyamantri Vriksha Sampada Yojana 2023 on 17 December 2022. Through this scheme, the government has made a plan to produce timber and medicinal trees on 2 lakh acres of private land within 5 years. The farmers will be provided 50% subsidy for planting saplings in their private land and a bonus of Rs 10,000 per acre will provided for 3 years. As a result of this Scheme, the income of the farmers and the rate of employment will also be increased in the state.
