What is National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal?

Competent law enforcement agencies in the states and UTs will have access to all cybercrime complaints so they may take the necessary legal action. The portal analyses allegations of child pornography (CP), child sexual abuse material (CSAM), or sexually explicit content such as rape/gang rape (CP/RGR). It also keeps track of reports of cybercrime complaints, such as hacking, ransomware, financial fraud, cryptocurrency crimes, and social media and mobile crimes. According to a 2021 article published in Outlook India, the cybercrime platform got around 400,000 complaints in less than a year, and half of these complaints were regarding financial robberies.
