Nirman Shramik Scholarship 2022 notification has been released. It is a scholarship program to help the children of those parents who are registered with Odisha Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board (BOC) as building or another construction worker. Students who are studying from Class 6^thto Master degree level can avail the scholarship under Nirman Shramik Kalyan Yojana Scholarship 2022. Nirman Shramik Kalyan Yojana Scholarship 2023

Nirman Shramik Kalyan Yojana Scholarship is an initiative scholarship program launched by Odisha Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. Under this scheme, students who studying from Class 6^th to Master degree level will be provided scholarship annually to help them financially in their academics. The children of only those parents who are registered with Odisha Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board (BOC) will be eligible for this scholarship program.

Objective of Nirman Shramik Scholarship 

The main objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to eligible building and other construction workers of Odisha Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board (BOC) for continuing education of their children.

Eligibility Criteria of Nirman Shramik Kalyan Yojana Scholarship

• The student must be a permanent resident of Odisha state. 
• The students studying from Class 6^thto Master degree level are eligible. 
• The parents of the students must be a registered building or other construction worker under the Odisha Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare board. 
• The students belonging to any category GEN/ST/SC/OBC/SEBC/EBC) can apply. 
• 50% attendance of the student in a class for that academic year is required.

 Benefits and features of Nirman Shramik Kalyan Yojana Scholarship

• Students who are studying from Class 6^th to Master degree level can avail of the scholarship. 
• Maximum of 2 children of a single family are eligible to apply. 
• For classes 6^th and 7^th, the scheme is for the only girl child. 
• From class 8^th onwards, the scheme is for both boys and girls. 
• Cash reward to the children securing 90% or above in class 10^th. 
• 20% additional benefit over and above the normal scholarship of the scheme is provided for the girl child studying from class 8^th onwards. 
• The scholarship amount varies from Rs. 2000 to Rs. 40,000 per annum.

The following documents are required to apply for Nirman Shramik Kalyan Yojana :

1.      Mark sheets/Certificate of last qualifying examination.

2.      Aadhaar card of the parent registered with Board.

3.      BOC ID card.

4.      Front page of Bank passbook containing account details of the parent registered with Board.

5.      College ID issued by the concerned authority. If not available, Admission receipt/Library card/letter of Undertaking from concerned college authority.

How to Apply for Nirman Shramik Kalyan Yojana

The eligible students need to follow the below-given steps to apply the scholarship:

• First, visit the official website of the scholarship portal https://scholarship.odisha.gov.in 
• From the Home Page, select APPLY SCHOLARSHIP option. 
• Select the eligible scholarship scheme to apply and hit the APPLYbutton. 
• For new user/students – click on the Registration link at the portal.

a.      Click the check box and click I Agree button.

b.      Again click the check box and click the Proceed button.

c.       Fill all the necessary details mentioned and click Register button.

d.      In this way, a new user /student will be registered and will get user ID and password.

e.      After that follow the next steps below as Existing user.

• Existing User should click on the LOGIN button by entering the user ID and password. 
• Provide all the necessary details like personal, academic, eligibility and bank information. 
• Click on the Save as draft button to draft the information or click on Next button to save and proceed the scholarship form. 
• The preview of the completed form will appear on the page. Download the form and taka a print out for further use.

How to check the Application status for the Nirman Shramik Kalyan Yojana scholarship

The applicant can check the status of their Application for the scholarship by following below given steps:

• First visit the official website of the scholarship portal https://scholarship.odisha.gov.in 
• From the Home Page, select the Know the Status option. 
• After that, enter Aadhaar Number or Application ID. 
• Click Get OTP. A sms will receive on registered mobile number. 
• Enter the OTP and submit it to see the status of the application applied for scholarship.
