Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has started a new scheme called Rajasthan Mukhyamantri Gas Cylinder Yojana 2023. Through this scheme, families belonging to BPL and beneficiaries of Ujjwala scheme of Rajasthan will be given LPG gas cylinders at the rate of Rs 500 once in a month. This scheme will benefit more than 73 lakh families in the state. As a result of this scheme, the eligible beneficiaries will get one gas cylinder per month at a cheaper rate. Rajasthan Mukhyamantari Gas Cylinder Yojana 2023

The Rajasthan Mukhyamantri Gas Cylinder Yojana 2023 has been launched by the Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot to provide LPG gas cylinders at concessional rates. Through this scheme, LPG cylinders will be provided for Rs 500 to the families included in BPL and beneficiaries of Ujjwala schemes of the state. The government has approved a proposal of Rs 750 crore budget under Rajasthan Mukhyamantari Gas Cylinder Yojana. The eligible beneficiaries will get gas cylinders at a cheaper rate once in a month starting from 1 April 2023. This scheme is not applicable to the general domestic consumers. The scheme will benefit more than 73 lakh families in the state.

Objective of Rajasthan Mukhyamantri Gas Cylinder Yojana

The main objective of starting the Rajasthan Mukhyamantri Gas Cylinder Yojana 2023 is to provide LPG gas cylinders at affordable rates to BPL and Ujjwala scheme beneficiaries of the state. The eligible beneficiaries will get this LPG gas cylinder at the rate of Rs 500 once in a month. 

Subsidy Provided by the Rajasthan Mukhyamantri Gas Cylinder Yojana 

Not only this scheme provide a LPG gas cylinder at an affordable price of Rs 500 once in a month, the scheme also provides other subsidies. Under the Rajasthan Mukhyamantri Gas Cylinder Yojana, a subsidy of Rs 410 per gas cylinder will be provided by the state government to the families having connection under the  Ujjwala Yojana. On the other hand, BPL gas connection holders will be given a subsidy of Rs 610 per gas cylinder. The subsidy amount will be transferred to the bank account linked to their Jan Aadhaar card after the purchase of a cylinder by the beneficiary.

• The applicants should be a permanent resident of Rajasthan.  
• BPL card holder families and beneficiary of Ujjwala schemes of the state will be eligible for this scheme.
• The bank account of the connection holders should be linked to the Jan Aadhaar card.

Who is not eligible for Rajasthan Mukhyamantri Gas Cylinder Yojana

• General domestic consumers will not get any discount on LPG gas cylinders under this scheme.

Application Process for Rajasthan Chief Minister Gas Cylinder Scheme 

No separate application process has been issued by the government to apply under the scheme, as soon as the cylinder is purchased by the beneficiary himself, the subsidy amount will be transferred by the government to the bank account linked to his Jan Aadhaar.
