Rajasthan Vishwakarma Kamgar Kalyan Yojana has been started in Rajasthan by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on 10th February in the year 2023. Under this scheme, people living below the poverty line and working class living in Rajasthan will be included. The beneficiaries of this scheme will be given a grant of approximately Rs 5000by the government, which they can use to purchase sewing machines and other equipments. Due to this important scheme of the government, about 3000 handicrafts and art artisans in the state will also get help in taking the things made by them to the market. Apart from this, he will also be able to participate in the fairs organized at national and state level. It has been said by the government that, under this scheme, hair art, clay art, Handicrafts and artisans and nomads will be given priority for self-employment. Because of this scheme, now the art artisans of Rajasthan state will get a chance to become financially strong.

Objective of Vishwakarma Kamgar Kalyan Yojana

The main objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to women of low income group, laborers, handicraft artists and youth of scheduled communities to provide self employment. The financial assistance that will be given to the beneficiaries under the scheme will be provided directly by the government into their bank accounts. This will be done so the beneficiary gets the full amount of the scheme, so that he/she can start his/her own self-employment properly and overcome his financial crisis.
